Leaves of a Bushveld False-thorn

The Bushveld False-thorn is also known as the Common False-thorn. It can grow to a height of 15 metres in ideal conditions. It often grows near termitaria.

It gets fluffy white flowers in spring.

The seedpods of the Bushveld False-thorn are up to 13 cm long. They ripen towards the end of summer.

Some mammals feed on the leaves and seedpods of this tree.

The wood of this tree is not often used in the production of furniture.
