Steynsburg
Afrikaans name: Steynsburg
Steynsburg
Eastern Cape
The small town of Steynsburg formed around a Reformed Church established in 1872. It was named after Douwe Gerbrandt Steyn who was the grandfather of President Kruger.
The town only has around 400 households. It is located in a region that is dominated by sheep farms.
Accommodation in the town consists of a caravan park and a few B&B's.
Although Steynsburg doesn't have too many attractions itself the surrounding countryside is picturesque and it is well situated to visit a variety of places that are within a few hours drive.
